The
Wyoming Beef Cattle Improvement Association was
formed in 1984 by a group of beef cattle
producers and several University of Wyoming
Cooperative Extension service personnel. The
organization has 4 main objectives:
- To maintain and
improve the accuracy and efficiency of
beef cattle production by systematic
breeding, selection and management with
emphasis placed on selection criteria for
traits of economic importance.
- To encourage
education, research and development
relative to beef cattle improvement.
- To cooperate with
other associations for the promotion of
beef cattle improvement and the beef
industry.
- To encourage the
development of marketing schemes based on
genetic merit.
