Wyoming Beef Cattle Improvement Association

The Wyoming Beef Cattle Improvement Association was formed in 1984 by a group of beef cattle producers and several University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension service personnel. The organization has 4 main objectives:

To maintain and improve the accuracy and efficiency of beef cattle production by systematic breeding, selection and management with emphasis placed on selection criteria for traits of economic importance.
To encourage education, research and development relative to beef cattle improvement.
To cooperate with other associations for the promotion of beef cattle improvement and the beef industry.
To encourage the development of marketing schemes based on genetic merit.

WBCIA is using a variety of means to achieve these objectives. The Bull Test, the Bull Sale, the Feedlot Test and the WBCIA Beef Symposium. WBCIA is continuously seeking new members. If you are interested complete this form for more information.
